Infobox and lead

[edit]
  • Genres are unsourced anywhere in the body
 Done
  • WP:OVERLINK of all of the artists under songwriters in the infobox, and under producers as well for S-X
 Done
  • "by British YouTuber and rapper KSI," → "by British YouTuber and rapper KSI from his debut studio album, Dissimulation (2020)"
 Done
  • "featuring vocals from" → "The song features guest appearances from"
 Done
  • "who also produced the track." → "who solely handled production."
 Done
 Done
  • "as the lead single from KSI's debut studio album Dissimulation (2020)." → "as the lead single from the album." with the wikilink
 Done
  • ""Down Like That" was KSI's" → "The song was KSI's"
 Done
  • Remove "a high-profile" part since that is not backed up anywhere
 Done
  • You can keep the fact that KSI won here, but it should be written out and sourced in the body since everything in the lead is supposed to be there plus refs shouldn't be in the lead at all
 Done
  • The lead is currently way too short; there is a lot of notable info missing like info about KSI writing several verses, the song's critical reception and commercial performance, music video, etc. I will go into more detail about what is missing from the lead, if you wish.
 Done

Writing and production

[edit]
 Done
 Done
  • Remove wikilink on England
 Done
  • "on this [song]'"." → "on this [song]'."" since that is ending full sentences quoted
 Done
  • "several verses for the song" → "several verses for "Down Like That""
 Done
 Done
 Done
 Done
 Done
  • "would work"." → "would work.""
 Done
  • "for Lil Baby'"." → "for Lil Baby.""
 Done
  • "KSI recalls that him" → "KSI recalled that him"
 Done
  • "has said that he was shocked that" → "has said he was shocked that"
 Done
  • "to be involved in the song," → "to be involved with the song,"
 Done
  • "Speaking on Lil Baby's involvement in the song," → "Speaking on Lil Baby's involvement,"
 Done
  • "and killed it"." → "and killed it.""
 Done
  • "the box for me"." → "the box for me.""
 Done
  • "Speaking on Rick Ross' involvement in the song," → "Regarding the involvement of Rick Ross,"
 Done
  • "dream come true"." → "dream come true.""
 Done
  • "on being involved in the collaboration, Rick Ross said," → "on being part of the collaboration, Rick Ross stated," to avoid repetitive wording
 Done
  • "a part of it"." → "a part of it.""
 Done

Composition

[edit]
  • The section should be at this position in the article but you have not included it at all when there is clearly enough info to do so; for examples, you can easily source the hip hop genre and add info about the lyrics too. To elaborate, the lack of the section is causing issues with the article's broadness heavily but this is one missing section so I will not fail even though you have a good amount of work to do
 Done

Release and promotion

[edit]
 Done
  • "called "Down Like That" with" → "called 'Down Like That' with" per MOS:QWQ
 Done
  • "to beat Logan [Paul] and" → "to beat Logan and" since he has already been introduced in this article by full name
 Done
  • "[the] music video"." → "[the] music video."" with the wikilink
 Done
  • "on 8 November 2019 at 00:00 (UTC) through" → "as a single on 8 November 2019 at 00:00 (UTC) by"
 Done
  • You have not invoked any citation(s) at this point to back up the release
 Done
  • "The song is KSI's first release" → "The song stood as KSI's first release"
 Done
  • "onto KSI's YouTube channel" → "to KSI's YouTube channel" with the wikilink
 Done
  • Remove the views amount since citing YouTube videos as a source for their views is inappropriate because views are updating constantly
 Done
  • Remove wikilink on lyrics
 Done
  • "in an episode of" → "for an episode of"
 Done
  • Keep the live performance in its own para here, but a sub-section is not required at all
 Done
 Done
  • "for his boxing rematch against Logan Paul," → "for his boxing rematch against Paul," and mention at this point with sourcing that it was dubbed as KSI vs. Logan Paul II
 Done
 Done
 Done
  • "groundbreaking stuff"." → "groundbreaking stuff.""
 Done
  • "was pumped"." → "was pumped.""
 Done
  • "He continued," → "KSI continued,"
 Done
  • "literally performing live'"." → "literally performing live!'"" since that is the punctuation ref 5 actually uses to end the quoted sentence
 Done
  • "inside Logan [Paul]’s head"." → "inside Logan's head.""
 Done
  • "definitely felt it"." → "definitely felt it.""
 Done

Critical reception

[edit]
  • Definitely paraphrase a good number of these, especially where full sentences are quoted, as you should aim to avoid WP:QUOTEFARM
 Done
  • "He highlighted that Rick Ross' verse" → "Findlay observed Rick Ross' verse" since the verse was not "highlighted" by him from the manner in which he commented on it
 Done
  • "He concluded," → "Findlay concluded,"
 Done
  • "out of the [United States]." → "out of the US." because you have already referred to the country by its full name of the United States, plus that is what the quoted review says
 Done
 Done
 Done
  • "win [against Logan Paul]"." → "win [against Paul]"." – remember, you have already mentioned his full name in this article
 Done
  • "UnCrazed remarked" → "the staff of UnCrazed remarked"
 Done
  • "and called the song" → "and called it"
 Done

Commercial performance

[edit]
  • This section should be swapped with the music video section
 Done
  • Remove wikilink on United Kingdom
 Done
  • "During this week, the song topped the United Kingdom's" → "Simultaneously with its peak, the song topped the UK's
Done Decided that the information about topping itunes chart isn't required in the article -- Timwikisidemen 08:00, 31 December 2020 (UTC)[reply]
  • "The song dropped to..." this is all pointless per WP:CHARTTRAJ apart from the six weeks bit, which can be changed to "six weeks on the UK Singles Chart."
 Done
Done The chart is currently called the "UK Hip Hop and R&B Singles Chart", so I'm not sure how I should name this. -- Timwikisidemen 08:00, 31 December 2020 (UTC)[reply]
  • "in the United Kingdom." → "in the UK."
 Done
  • "units in the United Kingdom." → "units in the country."
 Done
  • "in the United Kingdom at the time," → "at the time," to avoid repeating the UK too much
 Done
  • Remove wikilink on YouTube
 Done
  • "world/mainstream know"." → "world/mainstream know.""
 Done
  • Remove wikilink on Scotland
 Done
  • "peaking at number 9." → "peaking at number nine."
 Done
  • Remove wikilink on Ireland
 Done
  • Remove wikilink on Canada
 Done
  • "to impact the Canadian music charts." → "to enter the Canadian music charts."
 Done
  • Remove wikilink on Europe
 Done
 Done

Music video

[edit]
  • Retitle to Music videos
 Done
  • There should be no sub-section, but keep the paras separate as they are
 Done
  • Remove wikilink on music video
 Done
  • "The music video was filmed in" → "The video was filmed in"
 Done
  • Remove wikilink on warehouse
 Done
  • Remove wikilink on Los Angeles
 Done
  • "on 11 November 2019 ‒ two days" → "on 11 November 2019, two days"
 Done
  • "beat Logan Paul in their" → "beat Paul in their"
 Done
  • It is not backed up anywhere that the warehouse where the video was filmed is in Los Angeles?
Done KSI tags Los Angeles as the location on Instagram here - https://www.instagram.com/p/B5LWGL_ga4X/ - and so do does the director Nayip Ramos - https://www.instagram.com/p/B4xlyOTjWtc/ -- Timwikisidemen 08:00, 31 December 2020 (UTC)[reply]
  • "It would have been..." this quote is not backed up anywhere that I can see
Done The quote is said in the video at the top of the article -- Timwikisidemen 08:00, 31 December 2020 (UTC)[reply]
  • "I'm being honest"." → "I'm being honest.""
 Done
  • "after the music video shoot," → "after it was shot,"
 Done
  • "teased the music video's upcoming release" → "teased the music video's release"
 Done
  • "of the four artists" → "of the four performing artists"
 Done
  • "taken on the set of the music video shoot" → "that was taken on the set of the shoot"
 Done
  • It is not backed up that KSI posted the photo to multiple social media accounts, so change to solely mentioning Instagram
 Done
  • Remove wikilink on YouTube
 Done
  • Remove target on UTC
 Done
  • Remove the views amount per my earlier comment
 Done
  • "of the music video shoot was uploaded to KSI's YouTube channel" → "of the shoot was uploaded to the channel"
 Done
  • "is the result"." → "is the result.""
 Done
  • "The music video's opening scenes see" → "The opening scenes see"
 Done
 Done
 Done
  • Remove wikilink on motorcycle
 Done
  • "burned out cars, and" → "burned out cars and"
 Done
  • "described the music video's set as" → "described the set as"
 Done
  • "this is sick'"." → "this is sick.'""
 Done
  • Remove target on compilation
 Done
  • "was released onto KSI's" → "was released to KSI's"
 Done
  • Remove the views amount per my earlier comment
 Done
  • The alternative music video will only have one sentence about it with the proposed changes, so add the sentence to the end of the section's second para
 Done

Credits and personnel

[edit]
  • The credits on Tidal do not identify Michalis Michael and Henkka Niemistö as serving the roles listed here; they rather name them as engineers, so are you sure this section isn't incorrect?
Done Michael is a known mixing engineer and Niemsto is a known mastering engineer. Michael also clarifies each of their roles in the song on Instagram here - https://www.instagram.com/p/B4xvSjpA_I0/ -- Timwikisidemen 08:00, 31 December 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Final comments and verdict

[edit]
  • Timwikisidemen Good work on trying to cover all of my comments, but there are still MOS:CAPS issues with refs, most noticeably the ones where every single word is capitalized. Also, the music and lyrics section could do with expansion by adding content like the bassline info and writing about what the meaning of the lyrics actually is, plus the lead is still too short in terms of actual info as well as needing to be two paras so it is not jumbled. Good luck and feel free to ask me if you're confused at all; I did some brief copy editing! --K. Peake 13:39, 31 December 2020 (UTC)[reply]
