General: Article is new enough and long enough
Policy: Article is sourced, neutral, and free of copyright problems
Hook: Hook has been verified by provided inline citation
QPQ: Done.

Overall: The earwig results are just quotes from the NYT article, I prefer ALT2, but any of the hooks would be fine. GTG. Peacemaker67 (click to talk to me) 22:56, 28 November 2020 (UTC)[reply]

  • Peacemaker67, Thanks much for the review. I agree with you, the posting Admin can select either of the hooks. Cheers.

why is this dmy?

[edit]

he was born in britain, sure, however he is American, lives in America at the very least, and publishes his works through Grove Press Create a template (talk) 05:58, 30 December 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Pretty strange that you are downplaying his Scottishness, which completely defines all of his writing, which is both set in Scotland and written in Glaswegian dialect. Both novels were published in Britain in just about a week after the Grove Press edition. So I am not seeing how any of these arbitrary details change the defining Scottish ties throughout the articles, which have evolved using predominantly one date format. A consensus has not been reached on either talk page so the articles should not be changed until then. Οἶδα (talk) 19:14, 11 January 2025 (UTC)[reply]
