"season as the Clippers suspended" change to they suspended operations due to WW2. Also they were only an independent in 1942 because of WW2 as well. At the Wilmington Clippers article, it says they returned to the AA in 1946.
- Mentioned that they suspended due to WW2. I seem to mention that they were an independent; Wilmington became an independent team in 1942 and were considered the best pro football team outside of the NFL. Do you want me to add that they returned in '46 (also, I wrote that article and it was one of my first creations )?
  - i mean to say that the clippers became independent due to ww2 per your clippers article "The 1942 American Association was cancelled due to World War II, but the Clippers kept playing" and yes, when he returns to the clippers later, you can say they returned to the AA.
