Your self promotion has been removed. I am considering adding in how this flag represents white supremacists in the region since they adopted it long before you did. Cptnono (talk) 07:46, 19 May 2012 (UTC)[reply]
Meanwhile, no flag in the article about the Doug flag. Because politics of the day? Morycm (talk) 08:00, 14 January 2024 (UTC)[reply]

The webpage http://www.crwflags.com/fotw/flags/us%7Dcasc.html used to cite information regarding the original designer of the flag does not mention a last name, city of residence or occupation of the designer; it only identifies the him as Alexander. Further, the flag on that page does not match any of the example photos used on Doug Flag. Lastly, this page does not provide proof that this was the first use of the design. Similarity to the Lebanon flag

[edit]

Since the flag is almost identical to the Lebanese flag, with the difference of color and tree shape, does the Cascadian movement have any connection to Lebanese culture? If it doesn't or does, should it be pointed out? Tandrum (talk) 07:33, 19 September 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Tandrum It should be pointed out if someone identifies a published source which discusses this. Wikipedia only repeats what is already published and does not say new things. If you find a source then share. Blue Rasberry (talk) 12:07, 19 September 2014 (UTC)[reply]
How about Canadian Flag being similar to Polish and Monaco flags. It has the same colours, so it must be suspect! Morycm (talk) 07:55, 14 January 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Appropriate categories?

[edit]

Are the following categories appropriate?

It can be difficult to differentiate Cascadia the bioregion from Cascadia the independence movement and Cascadia the cultural identity, but this article is specifically about the flag, and so far the sources incorporated into the article's prose don't really go into detail about the independence/secession movements. The article's prose says more about the cultural identity.

Also, should any of the following categories be added?

The flag may be unofficial, but it might be considered a symbol nonetheless. Thoughts? ---Another Believer (Talk) 19:09, 26 August 2015 (UTC)[reply]
