Photo date

[edit]

In this edit of October 2022 an IP altered the date of the photo at the head of the article from 1902 to 1899. Do we have any evidence for this? The photo was published in Jack London's The People of the Abyss (1903), which was based on a visit he had made in 1902. I'm prepared to believe the photo wasn't specially commissioned for the book but was already in existence (and was 3 or 4 years old), but we need a source. The file on Commons dates it to 1902, and it appears with that date in East End of London and several other articles. GrindtXX (talk) 19:32, 3 September 2023 (UTC)[reply]

No comments in 9 months. Without further information, I'm reverting to 1902. GrindtXX (talk) 00:44, 7 June 2024 (UTC)[reply]
