[edit]I think this article needs to be significantly different than just a town described in 3 paragraphs and a historic account. I will try to bring the Dorrigo article much more focused into the modern day, but this article may have to be cut in two. The verbose (and much toiled) history section may be better served as its own article, with a summary (half its size at the *most*) as a replacement.Volantares 13:21, 12 April 2007 (UTC)
Dangar falls
[edit]Since changing the 'Dangar falls' redirect from Dorrigo to Dangarsleigh I have become aware that Dorrigo has Dangar falls (not mentioned in this article) and Dangarsleigh has Dangars falls. To fix this up I propose the following:
- Someone add a section on Dangar falls to the Dorrigo article
- I will add a section on Dangars falls to the Dangarsleigh article
- I will revert the redirect to Dorrigo
- I will add a disambiguation page for Dangar falls, with entries for Dangars falls and Dangarsleigh falls (same place)
Downsize43 (talk) 10:42, 26 June 2009 (UTC)
- Why not just create an article Dangar Falls' and link to it from both articles? -- Mattinbgn\talk 10:50, 26 June 2009 (UTC)
- Good idea for the future, but not something I can do right now. -- Downsize43 (talk) 10:53, 30 June 2009 (UTC)
Richard Craig
[edit]User 124.171.30.118 has recently added some information about the role of Richard Craig in the early exploration of the Dorrigo area. While there are many references on the net (and elsewhere) to this association, the editor has not cited the one used. If anyone is able to remedy this situation please do so, as it would be a pity to have it removed due to lack of a suitable reference. Downsize43 (talk) 05:05, 21 July 2011 (UTC)
The story about the cows being struck by lightening is true -- Warwick Marks (the dairy farmer) is one of our neighbours. It was reported in The Northern Star, 3 Nov 2005, in an article by Belinda Scott. Dorrigo 360 aerial panorama
[edit]Great view of the rail yards, not so for the town. Is a view of the town available, and maybe one of the gorge? Downsize43 (talk) 22:34, 28 November 2017 (UTC)
Dorrigo War Memorial
[edit]An IP editor persists in removing the text, as shown in the reference, that describes the road around the memorial as a roundabout. I have no intention of reverting a second time. Downsize43 (talk) 04:08, 4 September 2019 (UTC)
