Death?

[edit]

Note that I have reverted a recent edit which stated that Featherstone died today. Assertions regarding such matters must be cited to a published reliable source, for obvious reasons. AndyTheGrump (talk) 15:43, 3 September 2013 (UTC)[reply]

This post on Reddit, though not really reliable, indicates that further news may be forthcoming.--Auric talk 19:31, 4 September 2013 (UTC)[reply]
Reddit is not even nearly a RS and I cannot believe you provided a link to it as "ooh, maybe news in the future!" GiantSnowman 20:15, 4 September 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Please be advised that the statement regarding the late Donald Featherstone is true. He passed away on the 3 September 2013 at roughly 7.15am (GMT). This message has been posted on behalf of his family by his son-in-law. Thank you. (MJW1978 (talk) 15:21, 5 September 2013 (UTC))[reply]

Wargames Illustrated has announced Donald Featherstone's death, but only on their facebook page so far https://www.facebook.com/WargamesIllustrated (scroll down for photo & announcement) . WI probably meets the criteria for a reliable source, but is it okay to cite their FB page? or should we wait for the obituary to be printed?86.147.110.57 (talk) 19:58, 5 September 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Are we waiting for The Sunday Times or other "official" paper to write a proper obituary? Would a press release on The Wargamer be good enough? Castrass (talk) 13:54, 6 September 2013 (UTC)[reply]

I would say that Wargamer.com piece would suffice; I'll update the article accordingly. GiantSnowman 13:59, 6 September 2013 (UTC)[reply]

ISBN warning

[edit]

Rather irritating when many books were published pre ISBN. It also pre-supposes that there is only one possible ISBN number for every book which is not true. It changes with variants, and whether it is hardback or paperback. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 82.33.165.220 (talk) 15:44, 13 December 2013 (UTC)[reply]
