I've added a "dubious tag" to the statement that he was "the first person to be tried in Canada for crimes he had committed in another country". This is almost surely not correct. A number of individuals have been tried for World War II-related crimes which were committed in Europe — see Imre Finta, for example. In a few days, I'm going to change that sentence to say he was the first prosecuted under the particular child prostitution law if no one objects here by then.
