[edit]I went ahead and did some library microfilm research on the case regarding Lukens and a charge of delinquency of a minor. I'm hoping a good wikiwriter comes along and cleans up my changes (and does a better job at attributing my sources.)
There is potential for a separate article on Rosie Coffman and Anna Coffman (the accuser and her mother.) Both had significant criminal records after the Lukens case, including a situation in which Anna called the police and had Rosie arrested for criminal endangering and menacing. I believe this is interesting information for the historical record, and it might go some way to support the contention that Rosie Coffman was not a reliable witness/accuser, and that Lukens was being framed (a claim he made several times.)
However, I've left this information out of the article, because I fear it might put in too much subjective spin.Jimbobjoe 04:32, 8 December 2005 (UTC)
Derogatory category for living person
[edit]I have deleted a derogatory category about this living person. The girl in question was over the age of consent and the conviction was for a misdemeanor charge of contributing to the delinquency of a minor. That simply cannot sustain the derogatory category that's been applied. Lemonsquares, please discuss here and try to acheive consensensus. Please do not re-add the category. And, if my suspicion is correct: Hi Tommy/John. I'll be watching David in DC (talk) 03:02, 22 July 2008 (UTC)

Buz Lukens → Donald "Buz" Lukens – Someone removed "Donald" without discussion. 21st-century sources use "Donald 'Buz'": [1][2][3][4][5][6][7][8]. Or alternatively, go for Donald Lukens (w/o quoted nicknames), but very few sources use just "Donald": [9][10]. Just "Buz": [11]. Uncertain: [12]. Proposed move
[edit]I propose moving this to either Buz Lukens or Donald Lukens (depending on which can be justified under WP:COMMONNAME). Would usually WP:BOLD this myself but given there was a previous (contentious) move – albeit ages ago – I thought it best to offer up here for discussion. In a nutshell, adding a nickname in quotes is pretty non-standard. If the nickname is most common then it should be Buz Lukens. If not, Donald Lukens. Not half way. - @MIDI: The Google Ngram favors "Buz" Lukens, with the quotes. Nonstandard on Wikipedia, I suppose. I certainly remember the name Buz more than Donald from the time this guy was at "peak newsworthiness". This move caught my attention because you failed to move the talk page with the article.
