Cover by Op:l Bastards

[edit]

Electronic group OP:L BASTARDS made a cover from this song (The Job). Would it be interesting to mention it? — Preceding unsigned comment added by 92.102.124.39 (talk) 21:05, 27 June 2009 (UTC)[reply]

The Animals indeed did a song call "Don't Bring Me Down" circa 1966, though it is an entirely different song written by Gerry Goffin and Carole King according to my source, so it needs to be corrected. —Preceding unsigned comment added by Cpm22 user (talkcontribs) 06:27, 30 January 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Where does it get sampled?

[edit]

DBMD is sampled in at least two songs on Fatboy Slim's On the Floor at the Boutique album: "Apache" and "Because I Got It Like That". A different sample is heavily used in Shonen Knife's opening self-titled track from their album 712. Asat (talk) 08:33, 17 September 2010 (UTC)[reply]

I think only Fatboy Slim's version(s) of "Because I Got It Like That" has the sample. Could someone verify? 71.90.72.104 (talk) 23:45, 10 November 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Misheard Lyric - Circular Reference

[edit]

The reference citation in this article that supposedly verifies the claim that the chorus includes the word "Grooss" is circular. It simply links to another Wikipedia article about the songwriter, and in that article there is no mention of this lyric. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 207.62.191.10 (talk) 20:39, 12 July 2011 (UTC)[reply]

How this is supposed to sound like "Grüß Gott" is beyond me anyway (I am a native German speaker). It does sound like "Gruß!" though, which is related and basically means "Greeting!" (singular). The vocals are very, very similar to "Gruß!" so I am changing the page to reflect that. Plmr (talk) 20:48, 19 March 2017 (UTC)[reply]
