What is AFR?
[edit]There is an abbreviation "AFR" which isn't explained. Presumably it's for "Australian Financial Review", but I'm not sure of this, so don't think I have an imprimatur to change it. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 118.211.114.71 (talk) 01:19, 5 October 2021 (UTC)
Birth year listed doesn't match the maths
[edit]Hello fellow Wikipedians,
the wikipedia article lists Dominic's birth year as 1983, but the article referenced to claim this has him as a 28 year old in 2010. That would put him born in either 1981 or 1982.

BLP + recent news edits -> possible semi-protection?
[edit]I’ve noticed that there’s been more IP edits due to the news, and have been reverted. I think it’ll likely continue for the next few days and will be quite annoying to revert, I think there is merit in semi-protection. I’d be happy to request it if people agree. Fork99 (talk) 08:01, 3 October 2021 (UTC)
- Or if there is any further similar edits. Fork99 (talk) 08:03, 3 October 2021 (UTC)
- Yes, this is definitely a page to watch. It's worth requesting semi-protection, and the threshold should be a bit lower for a BLP. Fichid (talk) 03:41, 4 October 2021 (UTC)
Perrottet's siblings
[edit]A (what seems to be now dead) article from the Australian Financial Review on January 22 2017 says Perrottet's one of 12 children, but this ABC article published on this Sunday October 3rd 2021 says perrottet is one of 13 children. What's behind this? Did his parents have another child or is this a source error? Mimmikkyu (talk) 00:52, 5 October 2021 (UTC)

Voluntary assisted dying
[edit]Perrottet is a traditional Catholic; he...reportedly will vote against assisted dying legislation when it is introduced in NSW Parliament in October 2021. As he's the new premier, he has a good deal of influence over whether bills get voted on, right? This sentence assumes that the legislation will get voted on, and if he opposes it, isn't there a significant chance that it might not go anywhere? I think it ought to be changed to "and has stated his opposition to proposals to legalise assisted dying". 64.203.186.93 (talk) 20:07, 5 October 2021 (UTC)
The Bill is being introduced by a crossbench MP, and Perrottet has said he'll allow a conscience vote on it, that is, he won't direct the Party to vote one way or the other but he'll let individual MPs vote how they want to. However, he's expected to vote against it himself (since the Catholich Church's position is always against assisted dying). Hope this clarifies! --SableCarpenter (talk) 02:32, 9 October 2021 (UTC)
Pronunciation of surname
[edit]Does anyone want to have a go at an International Phonetic Alphabet transcription for his surname for the article. I am not sure how it is pronounced and I am sure I am not the only one. -- Mattinbgn (talk) 02:40, 8 October 2021 (UTC)
- it’s a fairly straightforward French name, “Perro-tay” n’est pas? WWGB (talk) 03:24, 8 October 2021 (UTC)
Did we mention
[edit]that he's catholic and conservative enough times in the article?

Why did he switch to "Dominic"
[edit]So if you look at old references and other information, you will find he was always listed as "Dom Perrottet" but a short time after he was made premier in October 2021 he changed all his names on social media to "Dominic Perrottet" yes i am aware the media has always called him "Dominic" but i mean himself, why did he switch it?
