[edit]

I have heared that the 2009 domestic partnership bill passed, what happens now and can that be verified? —Preceding unsigned comment added by 122.148.207.230 (talk) 12:21, 12 March 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Latest status

[edit]

What is the latest status on the "everything but marriage bill" (the 2009 stage 3 domestic partnership bill)? —Preceding unsigned comment added by 122.148.207.230 (talk) 08:24, 15 April 2009 (UTC)[reply]

With the bill being approved by about 104,000 votes, and only 32,000 votes left to be counted, it looks like R-71 will be approved. Dobby421 (talk) 06:38, 11 November 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Not law yet!

The Gov. has not signed the bill into law as of today! I have corrected the page. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 122.148.207.230 (talk) 07:55, 3 May 2009 (UTC)[reply]

News

[edit]

First of all, no one on this page is signing their posts. Second of all, if Governor Gregoire has indicated she will sign the bill into law, why has she held onto the bill for over 2 weeks? Isn't she going to... sign ...it? What's the hold up? -Laikalynx (talk) 00:04, 11 May 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Now that I've looked, I can see it's the same IP. To sign your post use 4 tildas (~). Laikalynx (talk) 00:06, 11 May 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Results of R-71 not certified until Wed, Sept. 2

[edit]

As of this moment, the count has been completed but the results are not certified. Also, a King County Superior Court judge is expected to rule on the validity of about 35,000 signatures turned in without a legally required statement by the actual signature gatherer (some were turned in unsigned, many were "signed" via signature stamp by the referendum sponsor.) That ruling may bar the Secretary of State from certifying the results. In other words, the status of R-71 is still very much up in the air.

[edit]

Hi, So, over on [1], I think that the Washington section needs to be updated in light of recent events. I don't know enough about the topic feel comfortable changing things, so I hope someone here can do it? Thanks!
