TOTALLY NPOV! WHAT ARE YOU DOING! THIS RUINS WIKIPEDIA FOR ALL OF US

Article violates WP:NPOV

[edit]

I would like to see some citations in line with WP:RS as to how Dogopoly takes the "best features" from Monopoly. Dogopsony (talk) 03:10, 8 September 2008 (UTC)[reply]

I too question the veracity of the claim that the 25th anniversary edition was "high-quality". Everyone in my Dogopoly circle was extremely disappointed by this product, and it sickens me to see such an untruth presented as fact. --BarkPlace (talk) 03:14, 8 September 2008 (UTC)[reply]

You fool! It is obvious that Dogopoly takes away the best features. My local Dogopoly club uses its own homemade board and rules! HostellingsPetDog (talk) 03:19, 8 September 2008 (UTC)[reply]
Heh, a typical "paleodogo" response. Why don't you take your minority opinion back to the Dogopolytopia forums, or is that why Arthur banned you in the first place? This editor above does not speak for the Dogopoly community and is POV-pushing from a minority stance. Dog Arrow's Impossibility Theorem (talk) 03:17, 8 September 2008 (UTC)[reply]
Everyone in the community knows that the best feature of Monopoly was the dog; verily, my Monopoly set (when I still had it... as if I'd be caught dead with a Monopoly set today!) contained, rather than the standard 12 tokens, 11 dog tokens and a battleship, which we named the S.S. Dog. It's an historical inevitability that the dog dominate Monopoly; Dogopoly is the natural outcome. And Arthur doesn't even like you!--Dogigopoly (talk) 03:32, 8 September 2008 (UTC)[reply]
We need to excise references to "best features" entirely. What sort of citations COULD exist that would establish that Dogopoly's chosen features are better than any other features? Perhaps "best liked," but then it'd be appropriate only if we would include the sample of the survey, et cetera.HighSteaks (talk) 03:17, 8 September 2008 (UTC)[reply]
We've had this debate on your so-called forums already, and I would not hesitate to once again martyr myself for the cause of good Dogopoly discussion. The fact remains that my circle contains nine of the ten top tournament Dogopoly players, and as such our thoughts on the game must necessarily take precedence. The 25th anniversary edition is a travesty and the New York Historical Society are fools. --BarkPlace (talk) 03:25, 8 September 2008 (UTC)[reply]
Being the 10th player I believe you are a fool. The 25th anniversary is the closest thing you can get to how Dogopoly was meant to be played HostellingsPetDog (talk) 03:26, 8 September 2008 (UTC)[reply]
Hah, another Arthurian dolt. You don't even recognize the man that crushed you in Indianapolis last month? I am ranked fourth in the world. Nine of the top ten players are members of my circle, which has far more than ten members. Among the horrors unleashed on the unsuspecting Dogopoly community by Spahits was the use of cheap orange plastic for the player pieces, replacing the superior black plastic present in the original set. --BarkPlace (talk) 03:33, 8 September 2008 (UTC)[reply]
Hahaha! You may be ranked 4th (not 1st) but you still took losses two months ago at the Feldman Memorial. One of them to me. Your strategy is terrible. Maybe you should worry more about the rules and the board ans less about the plastic! HostellingsPetDog (talk) 03:36, 8 September 2008 (UTC)[reply]
Ugh, that so-called "tournament" was a slap in the face of Dogopoly players everywhere. The completely inexplicable use of blindfolds during opponents' turns and the halving of turn time limts made just playing the game a "ruff" time indeed. That is the first and last time I attend a tournament hosted by Arthur and his sycophantic message board denizens. --BarkPlace (talk) 03:45, 8 September 2008 (UTC)[reply]
And lest I forget, the renaming of "The Pound" on all game boards to "Michael Vick's House" was an unexpected horror. Arthur should be ashamed of himself. --BarkPlace (talk) 03:46, 8 September 2008 (UTC)[reply]
That tournament was more well run than your precious Beall's thing! Different rules for each round of Dogopoly is a joke. There was blatant favoritism against Arthurian players, and he overcharged too much! We shall settle this all at the Kwartler Invitational Dogopoly Dance HostellingsPetDog (talk) 03:54, 8 September 2008 (UTC)[reply]
Nothing but further evidence for your complete disconnect from the modern Dogopoly circuit. If you were truly an active Dogopoly player, beyond your message board and Arthur's pseudo-"events," you would know that my entire circle (the best players in the game, I'll have you remember) swore off said events months ago. Even Siobhan, for the longest time a Beall apologist and the eighth-ranked player in the world, has had enough. No "bones" about it, you and the other members of Arthur's little clique will see your defeat at the KIDD, which (I might add), uses the original edition, rather than that 25th anniversary monstrosity. --BarkPlace (talk) 04:05, 8 September 2008 (UTC)[reply]
Man cut this crap out guys. As the 11th player I see dogopoly players wherever I go. None of them are better of with this purism/antipurism debate. Let's just enjoy some police. —Preceding unsigned comment added by Whostolemambalticave (talkcontribs) 03:29, 8 September 2008 (UTC)[reply]

You guys bickering over the drama on Arthur's forum are missing the larger picture...Yetman and the neodogos control Wikipedia! We can't even edit in a short summary of the paleo/neo controversy without someone reverting it. Who is really pulling the strings at WikiMedia Headquarters? (BIG BOARD GAME, THAT'S WHO) Dog Liquidity Trap (talk) 03:44, 8 September 2008 (UTC)[reply]

And even as I typed that, the article was "semiprotected." Protected from what, guys? What are you afraid of? The truth? Restricting editing to the paleodogs won't hide your crimes. Dog Liquidity Trap (talk) 03:46, 8 September 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Added citation tag to "typical dog's life"

Needs some statistics from the American Kennel Club. I do not believe that a typical dog sees trees. Dog Edgeworth Box (talk) 03:15, 8 September 2008 (UTC)[reply]

POV tone

[edit]

I believe that the first sentence is a completely POV sentence, and it conflicts with how many people feel. I know for a fact that I do not find Dogopoly's new features "useful", and there are no "bad" features of the original Monopoly, which remains the greatest pastime of the 20th century. Anti-Dogopoly copy editing on Wikipedia?

[edit]

I tried to fix some of the gross spelling errors in this article. My homeopath told me that they were put there by a cabal of pro-Funagle agents. Dog Liquidity Trap (talk) 03:20, 8 September 2008 (UTC)[reply]

vandalism of the Dogopoly page!!!

someone has recently tried to redirect this page to the "Mouse Trap" one. Reverting such redirects is very crucial. —Preceding unsigned comment added by Whostolemambalticave (talkcontribs) 03:23, 8 September 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Hey, watch your ass, Dog Frictional Unemployment. I think you've got something stuck up it. Maybe your tail? Hence the friction. Seriously, don't be so fucking uptight. This is a board game, not a fucking daycare program.HighSteaks (talk) 03:56, 8 September 2008 (UTC)[reply]
