[edit]Rebecca, "Sanakoyev is leader only in name." So is Kokoity, an importer an self designated "President." As you see in the Sanakoev case, anybody can charade the status of Presidency of a Republic size of some village. I can also create a de facto suvereign republic here in Canada and appoint Borat Sadgiev as the President. At least those so called elections by Sanakoev gave an equal opportunity to both Ossetians and Georgians. Unlike Mr Kokoity who not only forbade Georgians to take part in his so called elections but you could not make difference who was leading the separatist in Tskhinvali, his gang or Putin. When you enter Tskhinvali, a big picture of Mr Putin is visible everywhere with the slogan, “Putin is our President”. Comical if not tragic. Ldingley 15:37, 14 December 2006 (UTC)
- I'm not getting into debates about the legitimacy of the regime in Tshkinvali. Kokoity is functioning at least in some way as head of state of South Ossetia, regardless of whether he should be or not, and regardless of the international recognition. If Sanakoyev were, as you suggested, "charading the status of a Presidency of a Republic size of some village", then the use of the head of state infobox would make some sense. However, he is not exercising any power as head of state over the territory of South Ossetia, which Kokoity, regardless of his legitimacy, is. Thus, the politician infobox - which does out his status as winner of the "alternative elections" - is the neutral solution. Rebecca 01:45, 15 December 2006 (UTC)

Excuse me But what is the strange link from the phrase "Provisional Administration of South Ossetia" to the page about South Ossetia in a whole? Why do not connect this phrase with the existig page "Provisional Administrative Entity of South Ossetia"? Thanks Thebeatle (talk) 00:30, 20 February 2009 (UTC) |
