pre-syncope

• No they do not seem to be different definitions of the same word, they are different definitions of different words. One is PRE-syncope, which is feeling lightheaded or about to faint. Vertigo info redundant and confusing

The article Vertigo (medical) states "Vertigo should not be confused with dizziness. Dizziness is an unpleasant feeling of light-headedness, giddiness or fuzziness often accompanied by nausea."

However, the Dizziness article makes no such distinction between the two. This is confusing, so I'm adding a mergeto-multiple template. --Renice 14:28, 12 March 2007 (UTC)

Vertigo + Dizziness

Vote to merge the two. They are often confused and by having separate pages just compounds this. For example a square is a speical kind of rectangle but a rectangle is not necessarily a square. The same is true of vertigo - it is a special kind of dizziness, but not all dizziness is vertigo. Merger_proposal

Lightheadedness should be merged with Dizziness with a redirect from Lightheadedness because:

• There is considerable overlap between the two articles
• Lightheadedness is a stub and contains insufficient unique information

It might also be desirable to develop dizziness more along the lines of a pre-syncope article that coordinated better with syncope Ex nihil (talk) 01:51, 13 October 2008 (UTC)\

DECLINED: These articles should not be merged. They are seperate symptoms with similar effects. Dizziness may include lightheadedness, however lightheadedness does not include dizziness. 12:24, 2 Feb. 2009

Declined Conditionally: Lightheadedness and Dizziness are not the same and should not be merged if the merger somehow indicates they are.
