These sources: [1], [2] have no Bozatau (Bo’zotov) District. And here the town of Qozonketkan (centre of Bozatau District) is included to Kegeyli District.--Anatoliy (Talk) 14:42, 29 January 2009 (UTC)
- I stand corrected. The 2005 map of Uzbekistan that I originally used to construct the Karakalpakstan districts shows 15 districts, including Bozatau. I have now looked at the 2007 map (cited as the source in the article) and it lists only 14 districts -- without Bozatau, and is consistent with the other web sources that you cite. Apparently Bozatau has been recently merged with Kegeyli. I am adding a note to this effect in the table, and will ask Rarelibra (the creator of the Uzbekistan district maps) to eventually redo the Karakalpakstan districts map. Thank you for correcting this (and other) errors. --Zlerman (talk) 15:01, 29 January 2009 (UTC)

Listing
[edit]Is there any particular reason for the list not being in alphabetical order? Jackiespeel (talk) 10:37, 31 October 2017 (UTC)
- They are arranged geographically, but I would also not mind arranging them alphabetically. Inside oblasts, the arrangement must be alphabetic, I will check whether there are any deviations (likely due to different spellings).--Ymblanter (talk) 10:44, 31 October 2017 (UTC)
- And/or if the map was numbered appropriately. Jackiespeel (talk) 23:07, 31 October 2017 (UTC)
- Indeed, you are right, we probably need to stick to the maps as far as numbering is concerned.--Ymblanter (talk) 08:36, 1 November 2017 (UTC)
- There is way that 'the regions' can be matched up to the names (and there appear to be more regions than names, unless some are lakes). Jackiespeel (talk) 17:56, 1 November 2017 (UTC)
- Could you expand please? I do not understand. I believe all regions are there.--Ymblanter (talk) 17:58, 1 November 2017 (UTC)
- There is an outline map - which may include lakes etc - and a separate list of names, but no indication of how they relate to each other. Jackiespeel (talk) 11:00, 2 November 2017 (UTC)
- Oh, I see, you mean the map in the beginning of the list. No, these things are not Oblasts, they are smth else. I will see whether there is a more suitable map around.--Ymblanter (talk) 11:32, 2 November 2017 (UTC)
- What is needed is something like the maps on Hauts-de-Seine (as I was just looking at it) - which would, inter alia, explain why the list is un-alphabetical. Jackiespeel (talk) 11:57, 2 November 2017 (UTC)
- Pls have a look at a map I added to this thread.--Ymblanter (talk) 12:02, 2 November 2017 (UTC)
