Henry Disston

[edit]

Perhaps this mansion belonged to Henry Disston, but the article doesn't say that, nor its location.--Dthomsen8 (talk) 01:34, 20 March 2018 (UTC)[reply]

The timing is wrong for Henry Disston; he died in 1878 and this house was built in 1881 (according to the Edwin Forrest Durang article) or 1882 (according to the cited Inquirer article about the theft of stained-glass windows) or 1881-1882 (according to the Historic American Buildings Survey page at the Library of Congress). But I'm guessing it was one of his sons; it appears he had six. TypoBoy (talk) 02:23, 29 October 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Pictures from Historic American Buildings Survey

[edit]

The Historic American Buildings Survey has a set of pictures of the Disston House. It's in the public domain as U.S. Government work. Those would be great addition to this article. https://www.loc.gov/resource/hhh.pa3862.photos?st=gallery TypoBoy (talk) 17:51, 27 October 2020 (UTC)[reply]
