My Heroine Single missing

"My Heroine" was also released as a CD single. It had two tracks- "Album version" and "Acoustic version" of "My Heroine". So i believe it should be added under "singles" section. Sadly i don't know the exact release date, but it released in 2006. Musicmovies2024 (talk) 12:14, 5 June 2024 (UTC)

No i disagree. By this logic "Smile in Your Sleep" was also a "Promo" release. It even says so in their discogs page. Fact remains that all three- "Smile in Your Sleep", "Discovering the Waterfront", and "My Heroine" were released as CD singles and got videos. So, in other words, these are legit singles. What user "Binksternet" just did, proves that updating Wikipedia is completely pointless, because there are people who remove things, that should never be removed. I'm starting to think that updating Rate Your Music and Discogs is way better idea, at least people on these sites actually understand music and how it was released. Fair enough, i'm going to explain it very clearly, so everyone can understand what a single is. When a song gets a video, then it pretty much already confirms it as a single. That's how it has always been. Random songs don't get videos. Singles get videos. Both songs "Discovering the Waterfront" and "My Heroine" got professional videos. It's very clear, that band members choose those songs as next singles. That's how it works. They choose a song, that should be the next single and then make a video for it. Even more, both of them got CD release, but that doesn't even matter. Even without the CD release, they would still be classified as singles. Otherwise there would be no videos. Bands don't makes random videos, for random songs, for random reasons, absolutely not. Bands make videos for singles. These two songs are just as much singles, as "Smile in Your Sleep" was. These three songs got videos, these three songs are singles from this album. That's literally how it is. Like i already said, i don't even care. Silverstein has millions of fans, everyone knows that this album had three singles. I was trying to provide factual information, but apparently that's not enough. I literally explained, that the fact, that these three songs got videos, means that these three songs are singles. "My Heroine" was played in radio just as much, as "Smile in Your Sleep". Actually maybe even more, because by late 2006 Silverstein was more popular, than in 2005. Not every article from 2006 exists anymore. But like you said, in Wikipedia "only sources matter". That obviously makes sense, but the fact that these songs got videos, should be more than enough for a source. But idk, apparently for Wikipedia it's not enough, so i'm leaving Wikipedia behind and going to start updating websites that actually accept reality. Like for example Rate Your Music and Discogs. Less and less musicians take Wikipedia seriously, that's the only thing Wikipedia accomplishes with this. And for the very last time, i don't care. I'm just explaining how it is. It doesn't matter what Wikipedia page says or doesn't say, because it doesn't change the fact, that these three songs were singles. Wikipedia doesn't want to accept that? Well, okay? Other sites will accept it and that's all that matters. It's actually very good thing, that this discussion happened, because it shows to more people how unreliable Wikipedia can be at times.
