The result of the proposal was moved to Disabled lawn bowls player classification. --BDD (talk) 20:04, 4 October 2012 (UTC) (non-admin closure)
Bowls classification → Paralympic bowls classification – This is only about paralympic lawn bowling classification, not about classification for bowls in general. After moving, the redirect should be deleted. 76.65.128.252 (talk) 11:42, 31 August 2012 (UTC)

- Oppose Lawn bowls is not a Paralympic sport. The article should rather be moved to Disabled lawn bowls player's classification - it's the players that get classified, not the sport. Roger (talk) 12:19, 4 September 2012 (UTC)
- Fair enough, That's also fine by me. (I am the nominator) -- 76.65.128.252 (talk) 05:47, 7 September 2012 (UTC)

The result of the move request was: not moved. No prejudice against a new RM with "Disability classification in lawn bowls" as the proposed title. Jenks24 (talk) 04:37, 29 October 2012 (UTC)
Disabled lawn bowls player classification → Bowls classification – Per common name of the sport used in the literature for broader disability sport. (There is no ten pin bowls comparable, and neither sport has classification. If they do, this should appear in the article.) Player should not be there is it a subsection of the rules, not about the player. LauraHale (talk) 01:48, 21 October 2012 (UTC)
- Oppose this has nothing to do with classification of lawn bowls/bowls in general, and only deals with the classification of lawn bowls in disabled sport contexts. There is nothing in this article that covers general classifications of bowls, such as by age, or gender, or mixed-gender groups, or skill level. -- 65.92.181.190 (talk) 06:27, 22 October 2012 (UTC)
- The move rationale was confusion. (Also, I was not notified of this.) If there is confusion, then the other confusion causing classification should be covered in the article. --LauraHale (talk) 09:44, 22 October 2012 (UTC)
- Oppose: Misleading, as it would imply that all players are covered. --Stfg (talk) 10:08, 22 October 2012 (UTC)
- But as the article is dicussing the classification of disabilities, a better title might by Disability classification in bowls. --Stfg (talk) 12:50, 22 October 2012 (UTC)
- This makes much more sense - but rather make it Disability classification in lawn bowls because the word "bowls" without a modifier has "half a zillion" meanings. Roger (talk) 13:01, 22 October 2012 (UTC)
- OK, perfect. --Stfg (talk) 14:16, 22 October 2012 (UTC)

- Support – Per WP:COMMONNAME. Hawkeye7 (talk) 10:41, 22 October 2012 (UTC)
- Support per WP:COMMONNAME, original move shouldn't have been made as there wasn't a consensus. Bidgee (talk) 11:04, 22 October 2012 (UTC)
- Oppose per 65.92.181.190. The current name is arguably not ideal but "Bowls classification" fails the precision and disambiguation requirements of the WP:Article titles policy. "Bowls classification" as a title gives no indication at all of the nature of the subject - it could equally be about sorting salad bowls or, as 65.92.181.190 pointed out, "general classifications of bowls, such as by age, or gender, or mixed-gender groups, or skill level". The proposed name fails at a Policy level so there's really no way that this move can go ahead. Roger (talk) 11:22, 22 October 2012 (UTC)
- Oppose per Roger, though the current title is admittedly clunky. "Disability classification in lawn bowls" would be fine with me. Graham87 15:17, 22 October 2012 (UTC)
- Oppose. Only refers to disabled sport, so needs to be specific to avoid confusion. -- Necrothesp (talk) 15:29, 22 October 2012 (UTC)
