News release

[edit]

1/ This is not a news event. Or would you call a pacemaker also a news event. A DACI is a new medical device, a medical device just as a pacemaker is a medical device. 2/ And this is not a promotion, there is no reference to a company whatsoever. 3/ And yes, this article needs more information. So this is an invation to others to start adding information. 213.224.16.158 (talk) 08:57, 12 July 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Contested deletion

[edit]

This article should not be speedy deleted as being recently created, having no relevant page history and duplicating an existing English Wikipedia topic, because... (your reason here) --Pvangerwen (talk) 13:56, 9 July 2013 (UTC)[reply]

1/ GMDN is an official global organization on nomenclature of medical devices. GMDN has created a new product category, called DACI.

2/ DACI is not a Cochlear Implant, just as a Middle Ear Implant or a Baha is not a cochlear implant. A DACI is next to Hearing Aids, Middle Ear Implants and Cochlear Implants a new product category.

3/ I have taken the freedom to start writing an article on this new product category. It can of course improve as we go, but I think this is sufficient as a starting point.

4/ The article exists already in Ducht (Nederlands), for a while. More languages will follow. 13:58, 9 July 2013‎ User:Pvangerwen
