Persimmon vaudeville

[edit]
  • "fruit is a globular berry, from an inch to an inch and a half in diameter"
  • "from 2 to 6 cm (0.79 to 2.36 in) in diameter"
  • "an inch or rather more in diameter"

So which is it...? TREKphiler hit me ♠ 03:54, 27 July 2009 (UTC)[reply]

which is it - no fruit or seedless fruit?

[edit]

The following seems contradictory. "If a plant is parthenogenic then it sets seedless fruit without pollination. But if both male/female plants are needed to set fruit, then there is no fruit without pollination." Which is it? No fruit or seedless fruit? BIG DIFFERENCE to someone who wants to plant one tree and get fruit. Rtdrury (talk) 01:31, 28 November 2016 (UTC)[reply]

one must have both male and female plants to obtain fruit. Most cultivars are parthenocarpic (setting seedless fruit without pollination)
