Some details on implementations
[edit]This far, to figure out how does digital sculpting tools work, I've had to go on and read source codes and bunch of resources.
It'd be neat to get some implementation details here. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 88.113.49.213 (talk) 18:40, 2 June 2010 (UTC)
- probably trade secrets :/ they don't tell you how they do it. I mean, I think mudbox and zbrush use different ways to achieve sculpting but i don't know if they actually tell anyone exactly how they differ. --A Step Into Oblivion (talk) 11:12, 9 January 2011 (UTC)
- Someone familiar with inner workings of Blender can give you an idea... Ostry (talk) 17:19, 11 July 2012 (UTC)

POV-Ray ?
[edit]I don't believe POV-Ray has any "sculpting ability". Sure it can render sculpted model if one can get it translated to POV's SDL, but other than that POV, being a renderer, does not have anything to do with sculpting (a modelling technique). I will remove the link. Ostry (talk) 17:25, 11 July 2012 (UTC)
