COI
[edit]@Þjarkur Thanks for helping with this article! I’m new to Wikipedia. I’m not closely connected with the company, but I do know some of the founders and interviewed them to gather the citations for this article. One of them, @Jrf, is an experienced Wikipedian. He helped me get started with wikitext editing, which is new to me, but made it clear that he couldn’t contribute directly to the article. I’d be grateful for your guidance making this a great article! Jaydixit (talk) 01:59, 18 November 2020 (UTC)
- Hello Jaydixit, the problem I was trying to point out is relatively minor (compared to most COI editing Wikipedia sees), but the tone and the choice of things to include is one that is typically seen when the author is unintentionally too close to the subject.
- In the section "Research", it is not clear if the project is directly related to Diffeo or not, but it is a little bit too detailed so the section could be trimmed by two thirds.
- In the section "Product", there is some marketing-like copy (uncover connections that accelerate the users understanding). I would trim that section by half. "The AI<>Tradecraft Forum" seems a bit too tangential, I would remove that paragraph.
- I would remove the section "Patents". Almost none of our articles on companies include a patent section unless when the patents themselves are notable.
- Apart from those sections the article appears to be quite good. (I also noticed that you wrote this using wikitext, in case you're interested there's also the much easier-to-use Visual Editor) – Thjarkur (talk) 10:41, 18 November 2020 (UTC)
- Hello Þjarkur! Thanks for the suggestions. I’ve implemented your suggestions and several more trimmings. The article now summarizes just the salient points from the cited sources. Let me know what you think? Jaydixit (talk) 22:52, 25 November 2020 (UTC)
- Looks good to me, I see JHCaufield has also made several fixes. – Thjarkur (talk) 23:03, 25 November 2020 (UTC)

Citations
[edit]Is it normal to have 4+ citations stacked behind one sentence on Wikipedia? That seems so unnecessary, and visually, it just doesn't look right. I am going to see if there are any that make sense to get rid of. RalphKnowsA (talk) 15:01, 21 October 2021 (UTC)
I removed a majority of the citations from the lead after reading this rule MOS:LEADCITE. RalphKnowsA (talk) 15:05, 21 October 2021 (UTC)
- There are an abnormal amount of external links in this article as well. I removed some of the more blatant ones from the lead. RalphKnowsA (talk) 14:44, 4 November 2021 (UTC)
Company Acquired
[edit]Is there anything we should be doing to this page given this company was acquired by Salesforce? RalphKnowsA (talk) 16:29, 22 November 2021 (UTC)
