How did Devil's Gate get its name?

Many landmarks in the United States with the name devil or hell in them are sacred sites of Native American people. The pagan religions of the Native Americans seemed evil to many descendants of European immigrants. Is that how Devi's Gate got its name? -ErinHowarth (talk) 23:21, 16 May 2013 (UTC)[reply]
