That actual Hellenic meaning of the word weiner had nothing to do with "erotic love." It had to do with Metis and Logos. There were no sexual connotations to that concept at all. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 71.3.112.170 (talk • contribs)
- Could you find me a reference? If you can, I'll fix it. Or you cn do it if you like. This information would likely improve the value of the article greatly. --DanielCD 22:08, 27 April 2006 (UTC)
Tone and Context
[edit]Can someone who knows what this is referring to try to make some sense of it for those that are unfamilar with the concept? I got here from death instinct which the article makes clear is the work of Freud, but this stub basically states destrudo almost as absolute fact rather than attributing the theory (which I'm assuming it is) to individuals or groups, despite using very non-scientific terms such as "life force". I'd like to know a little more about the history of destrudo and who is responsible for it and whatnot. - 81.178.65.251 21:09, 3 January 2007 (UTC)
Tone and Context
[edit]No one can shed moe light on this topic because "unfortunately the original article was written in a rather obscure German," and is therefore impervious to translation. -24.4.26.116 (talk) 19:51, 26 April 2011 (UTC)
Merge Proposal: Mortido
[edit]Is this the same thing? http://wiki.riteme.site/wiki/Mortido —Preceding unsigned comment added by Kommunowledge (talk • contribs) 19:02, 18 May 2011 (UTC)
- Yes, this article should be merged with Destrudo. RockBass83 (talk) 04:14, 8 October 2018 (UTC)
- @Kommunowledge and RockBass83: IMHO, both of these articles should probably be merged into Death drive. They seem to all be discussing the same thing.--Gen. Quon (Talk) 02:52, 31 December 2019 (UTC)
- @Gen. Quon: Agreed, all three articles should be merged into one. RockBass83 (talk) 22:38, 31 December 2019 (UTC)
- Given the consensus here, formally made the proposal over on Death drive to ensure that opinions from there are considered. Klbrain (talk) 12:33, 7 March 2020 (UTC)
- Merger complete. Klbrain (talk) 20:01, 14 January 2021 (UTC)
