[edit]I witnessed this artistic movement with my own eyes during its first wave and have shared words with those responsible. Suffice it to say that the geography for which this particular art and music resides is very important in understanding the moods and the words put forth. Robot Rock
[edit]I changed the part about Robot Rock being a subgenre. As far as I know, Robot Rock is not a recognized (sub)genre, and no other artists beside Josh Homme have described their music as Robot Rock or have been described as Robot Rock by other sources. Just because one man (Josh Homme) used the term once or even frequently to describe his own music, doesn't make it a subgenre. As of yet I didn't delete it from this article; I don't know what other people's opinions are? Greetings, (RagingR2 22:07, 11 September 2006 (UTC))
Desert Rock
[edit]Well, I am listening to this kind of music for the first time on Napster right now, and I can tell you that this article definitely needs to mention the major Sabbath influence on these artists. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 68.161.206.171 (talk) 04:44, 14 November 2007 (UTC)
Ordering in list
[edit]Is there a rhyme or reason to the ordering of the bands in the two lists? It looks pretty random to me. Perhaps it should be alphabetical? Gmarsden (talk) 22:28, 18 November 2007 (UTC)
Merge with Palm Desert Scene?
[edit]Recently it has been requested that this article be merged with the Palm Desert Scene article. I support the merger and I think the desert rock article should be deleted. The term is nearly always used to describe bands from that scene, and both articles contain much of the same info. Opinions? ~Asarlaí 00:03, 14 August 2008 (UTC)
