The King Ranch is 825,000 acres and is a cattle ranch. How is this the largest?--Counsel 20:22, 14 December 2006 (UTC)[reply]

I'm not sure, but the King Ranch may not be putting out a lot of beef. In 2000, according to the article, Deseret sold 16 *million pounds* of calves. From what i can gather initially, King Ranch is somewhat more of a large scale historical location rather than a large supplier of beef. I could be wrong, but I didn't find any sort of numbers about King Ranch's production, and without them, there's not much to dispute it. -- Vaevictus (talk) 21:24, 13 October 2008 (UTC)[reply]
Largest means the largest size, not the largest beef output. This is incredibly misleading. While the citation does claim "largest", I don't see how that claim is legitimate in the normal context of the word. I am going to change it "most productive". Biema citation

[edit]

This citation is quite obscure. Van Beima published a number of books in 1997. It could be in any (or none) or them. Student7 (talk) 00:01, 13 April 2013 (UTC)[reply]
