Fair use rationale for Image:Demon Seed.jpg

[edit]

Image:Demon Seed.jpg is being used on this article. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is no explanation or rationale as to why its use in Wikipedia articles constitutes fair use. In addition to the boilerplate fair use template, you must also write out on the image description page a specific explanation or rationale for why using this image in each article is consistent with fair use.

Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to insure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.

If there is other other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on the other images used on this page. Note that any fair use images uploaded after 4 May, 2006, and lacking such an explanation will be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you.BetacommandBot 00:05, 3 June 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Image in infobox

[edit]

It would be nice if someone updated the info under the book cover to actually reflect THAT book. As the article states, the 1997 version is completely rewritten - why does it have the original versions publishing information under it? --71.174.72.139 (talk) 03:52, 12 October 2008 (UTC)[reply]

That cover is from the 1997 version. Captions are meant to explain the image. The infobox below is for the this article as a whole which is about all the versions of the novel. --—D. Monack talk 21:26, 12 October 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Please reinstate as standalone article instead of redirect

[edit]

Demon Seed is considered one of the best and most influential novels by Dean Koontz. The content in this page is of interest to readers wanting to dig deeper into Koontz's body of work, and gives a full synopsis of the novel's two different versions. This expanded content is contrasted to the mere two sentences devoted to the novel in Dean Koontz's wikipedia page. It therefore makes sense to disable the redirect, as readers, under the current circumstances, couldn't find the synopsis if they wanted to. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 2600:1700:43B0:C0A0:64CF:99B3:4885:4666 (talk) 04:40, 31 March 2020 (UTC)[reply]

I second this, please reinsate the Wikipedia page for Demon Seed Novel. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 51.182.157.203 (talk) 23:50, 3 November 2022 (UTC)[reply]
