Merger proposal

[edit]

I propose to merge Demography of Uganda and Selected African Countries into James P.M. Ntozi. The book itself does not appear to meet the WP:GNG, and much of the content of the book's article actually focuses on Ntozi. The Squirrel Conspiracy (talk) 23:05, 18 June 2020 (UTC)[reply]

I considered this as well, but I was unsure if this is too much information for Ntozi's page. This is about a specific event in his life, whereas his article is more of an overview of his life. HistoryandLiterature (talk) 19:35, 20 June 2020 (UTC)[reply]
@HistoryandLiterature: Right now all of the content is in the book launch section, which is more about Prof. Ntozi than it is about the book. If you were able to add information about the contents of the book, and/or its critical reception (if that exists), then there wouldn't be a need for the merge. That makes sense and I am for it. I'm still new to Wikipedia. How do we conduct the merge? HistoryandLiterature (talk) 20:07, 22 June 2020 (UTC)[reply]

HistoryandLiterature: Copy anything from this article into James P. M. Ntozi that you feel should be moved to the Ntozi article. Once you've done that, let me know and I'll show you the next step. The Squirrel Conspiracy (talk) 06:18, 24 June 2020 (UTC)[reply]

I've turned Demography of Uganda and Selected African Countries into a redirect to James P. M. Ntozi. The Squirrel Conspiracy (talk) 01:55, 26 June 2020 (UTC)[reply]
