Why does the ethnicities table add up to 149.5%? —Preceding unsigned comment added by 66.46.62.59 (talk) 14:34, 13 October 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Ethnic groups of Ottawa

[edit]

Can someone (someone who has the statistics) add the most common ethnic groups in Ottawa like we have on other demographic pages for major Canadian cities like Toronto and Montreal. Here’s the link to the Demographics of Toronto page ethnic diversity section: https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Demographics_of_Toronto#Ethnic_diversity For example, in Toronto the most common prevalent ethnic origins are 12.5% Chinese, 12.3% English, 12% Canadian, 9.8% Irish, etc. It would be nice to have the same for Ottawa to compare it with Montreal and Toronto. Population numbers

[edit]

Why does the top of the article say "In 2021, the population of the city of Ottawa was 1,135,014, an 8.5% increase from 2016." and the chart below says "2021 1,017,449 +8.9%" Is one of two incorrect or is an explanation needed for two different sets of numbers Kaltenmeyer (talk) 16:17, 3 October 2022 (UTC)[reply]
