"Mehbooba Mehbooba" and "Say You Love Me"
[edit]I removed the line <"Mehbooba Mehbooba" from film "sholay" was lifted from his song "Say you love me"> "Lifted" is a pretty strong word: Rap artists call it "sampling", in this case it's not even that. I listened to "Say you love me", and IMHO the similarity is vague at best: just the voice, and the way Roussos sings "ooooh". The other similarities are nothing more than both songs being written in the Qawwali tradition. The melodies are markedly different. And the beginning notes of Mehbooba, is completely original. The version I'm refering to is from Roussos' 1974 album "My Only Fascination". If there are any other versions bearing more similarity to "Mehbooba", please talk about it here. Fire and Ice
[edit]What about the 1971 album "Fire and Ice"? Is this the same as "On the Greek side of my mind"? -- 78.52.168.124 (talk) 08:33, 30 July 2010 (UTC)
Discography
[edit]This truly international artist with tens of hits in tens of countries deserves a traditional comprehensive Wikipedia discography page instead of the very unreliable listing we have now with no clear succession and no chart positions whatsoever. There is no indication of singles which is so strange as he has loads and loads of successful singles werldwayd (talk) 08:56, 25 June 2011 (UTC)

Poor quality article
[edit]Demis was a big superstar in continental Europe during his solo career up until 1978. The wiki article is very vague and limited in information precisely about his 1972-1977 period in which he was a major superstar in continental Europe. You literally could not move anywhere around Europe without hearing his music. Also recorded in Italian, Spanish and French and Greek — Preceding unsigned comment added by Nayumadehrafti (talk • contribs) 14:33, 3 December 2012 (UTC)
- However, phrases like “His distinctive operatic vocal style helped propel the band to international notoriety” don’t help at all - it suggests a level of international recognition, but were the band truly “notorious”, and as a result of his voice (rather than any other group activity, appearance, performance style, etc.)…? Doesn’t sound encyclopaedic, and could do with expansion if true. Jock123 (talk) 10:13, 20 November 2014 (UTC)

Personal life
[edit]The personal life section contains the following sentence:
The fourth and last wife Roussos has become a Parisian Marie.
I really can't make anything out of this. Anyone who has an idea what it's supposed to mean?Tvx1 02:47, 11 April 2017 (UTC)
