When creating the chatper table, I used some chapter names listed in the text. Does anyone have access to a source that gives the name of the other chapters? What does the 1967 Baird's call them? Rublamb (talk) 00:24, 28 March 2023 (UTC)[reply]
I am probably missing something here, so welcome thoughts of others. Having not looked at the article for a while, but with recent good faith work done, including updates and expansion of information and citations by Rublamb, the organization's history doesn't read as seems would be most helpful. The first history section seems to flow from talking about early establishment of preceding organizations in the 1860s and 1870s, which includes implications that Covey and Jenkins consulted with Widtsoe on how to approach organizing the society in that time period. The problematic piece is of course that Widtsoe became the University of Utah's president in 1916. This timeframe leads naturally toward the 1920 establishment, but I find the preceding history very confusing, as currently written. ChristensenMJ (talk) 20:58, 29 March 2023 (UTC)[reply]
I see what you mean. The first paragraph conflates consultation with Widtsoe by Covey and Jenkins within the frame of the predecessor group's formation, and not during the pre-1920 restoration. Rublamb, do you have those sources handy to update this? Jax MN (talk) 21:33, 29 March 2023 (UTC)[reply]
Okay, I think it is fixed or at least better. I don't have access to the history book or the issue of Baird's that is cited but could get enough from the journal article that I found. Rublamb (talk) 22:52, 29 March 2023 (UTC)[reply]
