With the current detail in this article, 8 paragraphs, and 9 sources, I see no reason for deletion. Does anyone still believe this should be removed?
- While I don’t believe it should be deleted, you should be asking this on the AfD page itself. Shelbystripes (talk) 03:53, 17 January 2020 (UTC)
Max landing weight
[edit]I find the claim that the 777-200ER is "not capable" of landing over its certified max landing weight to be an overly simplistic explanation of a regulatory limit. Like other operating limitations such as V speeds, maximum landing weight is meant as guidance—perhaps strong guidance, but guidance nonetheless. An 250-ton aircraft will not fall apart if it lands at 1 lb over its certified max landing weight. Carguychris (talk) 23:37, 7 May 2020 (UTC)
- It's been a week, and there have been no comments or improvements, so I've removed the disputed sentences. I think the referenced statement from the commentator is adequate; this article doesn't need to go into the weeds regarding the technicalities of fuel dumping and the FARs.
