Images and Video

[edit]

An arborist contributed an image for this article page. The same arborist who volunteered an image for Iluvatar too.

Photos are very hard to come by, and this arborist has the only decent images available to show trunk size. The images provided to Wikipedia commons were quite small, but definitely better than no image. The same arborist also has a video that I found on Youtube. I emailed with a question about how long the video will be posted online. Apparently the video will be left online at the same URL indefinitely - long term. So I added the video to the external links.

It's the only known video online showing Del Norte Titan or other trees in the Grove of Titans. The sound is clear, and it gives an good impression of just how giant Del Norte Titan really is. ThreeWikiteers (talk) 05:33, 24 June 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Grammar / Style

[edit]

As with a couple of other short redwood pages I started, please jump in regarding style and grammar. I sort of rushed spell-checking this page. Likewise with punctuation. Thanks ThreeWikiteers (talk) 05:33, 24 June 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Van Pelt's Book

[edit]

Does anyone know the right way to add a book? There is a book called Forest Giants of the Pacific Coast, by Robert Van Pelt, that includes this Del Norte Titan.

I could just add the book as another possible resource, but don't really know the right way to add it so that all the small details are included.ThreeWikiteers (talk) 22:55, 20 August 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Deletion of info? Post proposals in discussion first.

[edit]

The logic of adding relevant info without discussing is one thing. But removal is different. Lately, someone has been removing text and source information without going to this discussion page. Proposed deletions or alterations should be suggested on this page first. This also provides other future editors a history of the article.ThreeWikiteers (talk) 16:28, 12 September 2008 (UTC)[reply]
