Known as Deés in Hungary
[edit]The sources and the postmark all indicate that it was know as "Deés" under Hungarian administration. --Bejnar (talk) 02:11, 4 June 2020 (UTC)
- @Bejnar:,
- It is an archaic form, please see the Administrative divisions of Szolnok-Doboka County map in the Szolnok-Doboka County article.(KIENGIR (talk) 02:15, 4 June 2020 (UTC))
- Yup, I see that the map used "DES". But Deés is what I found in contemporaneous sources, apparently Deés was not archaic in the early 20th Century, in 1901 (postmark) and 1905 (Baedeker), although it may be archaic now. Look at the cited sources. --Bejnar (talk) 02:30, 4 June 2020 (UTC)
- @Bejnar:,
- You see Dés exactly, in the early 1900s, many names have been changed offically from archaic writing (I called it archaic because it's originating from the 14th century). Thank you for addign the stamp!(KIENGIR (talk) 02:51, 4 June 2020 (UTC))
