Genre classification

[edit]

@Musiceasel Regarding your removal of the genres of comedy drama and coming of age genres, the reviews included mention the film's humor and comic scenes. Furthermore, websites like IMDb and AllMovie include comedy as a genre for the film. I was also in the process of expanding the Reception section to include more contemporary reviews that reflect on the film's unique approach to the traditional coming-of-age story and its mix of different tones. They provide reliable sources to the genre classification. For example,

"lurching unpredictably between comedy and creepiness" - The Guardian

"Skolimowski's hallucinatory, dissonant, yet compelling tale of hormonal confusion" - Slant Magazine

"strangely impetuous study of coming-of-age sexual muddle, full of whimsy and abrupt ideas, and intoxicated from a distance, it seems, by Swinging London’s free-love commerce." Village Voice

I'm open to describing it as a psychological comedy drama in the introduction and leaving psychological drama in the categories, but removing the comedy and coming of age portions from the article categories does not accurately represent the film.
