Model used

[edit]

What model is used for this schedule? Deep stops are usually performed at half-pressure intervals, not every ten feet. For a dive to 130 feet (40 m) (ambient=5 bar), the first deep stop would usually be at 50 feet (15 m) (ambient=2.5 bar). The next deep stop would be at 8 feet (2.4 m) (ambient=1.24 bar), but that's inside the deco/safety stop range for this dive, so is obviously omitted. On SAA Bühlmann deep-stop tables, the schedule would be:

  • 40 metres (130 ft) Bottom time = 10 min
  • Ascent to 15 metres (50 ft) = 2.5 min
  • 15 metres (50 ft) Deep stop = 1 min
  • Ascent to 6 metres (20 ft) = 1 min
  • 6 metres (20 ft) Deco stop = 4 min

The ppO2 is irrelevant to this dive. As it's on air, so is the END. I'll see if I can sort out some references that would show a realistic schedule for this dive. I think it would be sensible to give a schedule that represents what is really done in practice. Any other thoughts? --RexxS (talk) 14:08, 28 August 2009 (UTC)[reply]
