Miss America 1966 was a dear friend of mine in elementary school in Leawood Kansas. We were in the 5th 6th grades together and she Moved with her parents.to Germany. Her father was in the Corps of Engineer's. I actually named my first child Deborah Irene Knox ( 3-19-1963) after my childhood friend. Later when I heard she was Miss Kansas1965 I contacted her to catch up on old times when she used to go roller skating with me when we were age 10 thru 11 years old. During our 5th and 6th grade years. At that time she and I were in Girl Scouts and my mother, Vivienne Nelson was the Leader of the troop. Many Awesome memories remain for me till this day in Feb. 2016. Gadget52445 (talk) 09:22, 7 February 2016 (UTC)[reply]
