I had his death as 'after a fall' which is all that can be obtained from the report. It was changed by another user to 'fall', even though it wasn't stated the fall killed him. And now it's been changed to 'brain hemorrhage'? What's the evidence for that diagnosis? Be best (talk) 11:06, 8 September 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Did not actor Dennis Weaver die in September 2009? —Preceding unsigned comment added by 24.199.149.46 (talk) 10:25, 11 September 2009 (UTC)[reply]

No. WWGB (talk) 11:27, 11 September 2009 (UTC)[reply]
He died in February 2006. WP addict 0 (talk) 12:05, 11 September 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Is he confirmed dead? If so, does anyone have a ref that says so, rather than 'reported killed' or 'believed dead' etc? Qzm (talk) 09:00, 15 September 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Asaf Ramon, son of Ilan Ramon

[edit]

Is he really that notable? I mean, true, his father was the Israeli astronaut that was killed in 2003 when the space shuttle "Challenger" disintegrated over Texas, but notability is not inherited. What has Asaf done to get some notability? Norum (talk) 11:11, 17 September 2009 (UTC)[reply]

His page tells us he was an Armenian animator. Nothing else. Nothing about any films he animated. It was therefore his job. Is this a suitable reason to be listed here? If he merits a place here the creator of his page should at least be able to give us examples of his work. Williamgeorgefraser (talk) 21:35, 25 September 2009 (UTC)[reply]

His Russian article lists his work; the English article needs much expansion. WP addict 0 (talk) 10:33, 26 September 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Should her death be listed as caused by lupus, or by an infection? Wiki editor 6 (talk) 03:43, 29 September 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Are their deaths really that big of a deal? —Preceding unsigned comment added by 167.88.201.100 (talk) 17:30, 29 September 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Yes, if they were notable. Rodhullandemu 17:50, 29 September 2009 (UTC)[reply]

What about reindeer - Knutschie ?! My pet bunny died thirty years ago - does that qualify ?
Derek R Bullamore (talk) 00:20, 3 October 2009 (UTC)[reply]
I understood that animal deaths were only listed if the animal has its own article. Unless someone is currently in the process of creating an article about said reindeer, or indeed Mr Bullamore's rabbit, I don't think either go on the list. Bretonbanquet (talk) 00:23, 3 October 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Damn, my claim to fame cruelly taken away ! I also once had a guinea pig (a truly tragic tale) - please !!

Derek R Bullamore (talk) 00:38, 3 October 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Maybe some notability lies within your tragic tale? Was said rodent's passing mentioned in reliable, third party sources? I have to break it to you that this will, unfortunately, not include any self-publicity, advertising or self-publishing that he may have produced, but there may yet be guinea pig salvation just around the corner. Bretonbanquet (talk) 00:46, 3 October 2009 (UTC)[reply]

That's not funny, Derek, it's simply stupid. Your bunny and your guinea pig won't be added, just like your grandmother or my grandfather. Is it so difficult to understand? --necronudist (talk) 09:20, 3 October 2009 (UTC)[reply]

I think the sarcasm of the above discussion may have passed you by there. Bretonbanquet (talk) 12:32, 3 October 2009 (UTC)[reply]

CARL REINDEL

[edit]

Actor Carl Reindel passed away on September 4, 2009. [2] [3]. I have tried to add this several times but it is constantly removed with the explanation "notablity not established"!! How can it not be established when he has been in movies like "Tora! Tora! Tora!", "Bullitt" and "The Andromeda Strain", not to mention tv-series like "Gunsmoke", "Perry Mason" and "Bonanza"!!! Doesn't everyone have a right to know he's dead?!! You guys need to get a grip!! Wake up!!! —Preceding unsigned comment added by 78.69.171.71 (talk) 01:12, 31 December 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Only people with a Wikipedia article remain on Recent Deaths. A "redlink" stands for one month after the death and is removed unless a Wikipedia article is written. This is an agreed process to ensure that only notable deaths are reported. If you believe that Reindel is notable, then you might write a stub article so that his notability can be tested through the usual deletion processes. Regards, WWGB (talk) (and yes, I am awake and have a firm grip)
