Death (golf)

[edit]

I was watching The Alfred Dunhill Championship on Sky Sports & there was a guy who died they announced - who was it and is it notable to be put on here? Nicolizzio 17:08, 5 October 2009 (UTC) —Preceding unsigned comment added by Nicolizzio (talkcontribs)

Kevin McGee

[edit]

Can something not be done about Chemical2009? This guy just seems to go from violation to violation. I was on the point of adding to this discussion asking whether being the ex-partner of Matt Lucas was a suitable reason for being here, when suddenly an article appeared and I discover that "Keniv McGee was the partner of Matt Lucas, he killed himself". What is the point of nonsense like this which will only be deleted, hopefully as soon as possible? Williamgeorgefraser 20:33, 6 October 2009 (UTC)

Mikhail Kalatozishvili (Death on 10/10/09)

[edit]

Apparently there are two Russian film directors with this name, but the article leads to the one who lived from 1903-1973, and directed The Cranes are Flying. The one who died recently may not have his own article. This may be a bit difficult to differentiate, though, as they are both of the same occupation... I have changed his entry to Mikhail Kalatozishvili (born 1959) to avoid confusion. WWGB (talk) 07:04, 13 October 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Can someone please add Ted Sizer to the obituary list for October 21? Source is: Theodore R. Sizer, Education Innovator, Is Dead at 77. Thanks. (64.252.124.238 (talk) 00:11, 23 October 2009 (UTC))[reply]

Bill Chadwick

[edit]

Bill Chadwick, Hall of Fame Hockey Referee, passed away on Oct. 24 and should be added to the recent deaths page. Reference: http://sports.yahoo.com/nhl/news?slug=ap-obit-chadwick&prov=ap&type=lgns —Preceding unsigned comment added by 207.255.42.214 (talk) 02:14, 25 October 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Clergy

[edit]

I have noticed a few times recently, such as currently the case with George Patrick Ziemann (October 22nd), that denominations are not mentioned for clergy. For instance, it states that Ziemann was a "bishop" but gives no indication of his denomination (Roman Catholicism.) I think it would be helpful to all if the denomination was stated along with the position as several other major Christian denominations have bishops as well. Many thanks. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 202.138.16.28 (talk) 06:22, 25 October 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Hula exponent?

[edit]

George Na'ope is described as a Hula Exponent. I believe that should be hula proponent. The is no Wiki article for proponent. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 134.187.128.99 (talk) 18:49, 27 October 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Although the death was announced on the 28th, his date of death was the 27th according to [1]; please don't revert this edit again. EJBH (talk) 11:23, 28 October 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Remember, always put the deaths under the date they actually died, not the date when it was announced. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 86.138.175.228 (talk) 14:35, 29 October 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Soupy Sales

[edit]

The source listed for the death of Soupy Sales does not indicate that he died of cancer ... or did I miss something in the Washington Post article? Thanks. (64.252.124.238 (talk) 20:44, 29 October 2009 (UTC))[reply]

Michelle Triola (Marvin)

[edit]

The Andrew Malcolm of the LA Times reported on Twitter that Michelle Triola, the former live-in girlfriend of Lee Marvin who sued him for "palimony" has died. [2] So far, I can't find any other confirmation of this. I don't know if this is the right place to report this, but I thought it might be wise to have someone keeping an eye out for reliable sources reporting on this. OK, I found a source. I don't know the criteria for appearing on this page, so I leave that up to others. The source is: http://www.mercurynews.com/news/ci_13679075. --GentlemanGhost (talk) 21:50, 30 October 2009 (UTC)[reply]
