Kayla Mueller Died Feb 6, not Feb 10

[edit]

So why is she listed Feb 10? 98.201.240.250 (talk) 23:55, 10 February 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Death was (officially) announced then. Probably something to do with the Allies not trusting the Axis further than they can throw them. The Western RS's first reaction was to not believe she was dead at all, and if she was, to not believe it was their fault. Things will be clearer (or at least more official) soon. InedibleHulk (talk) 01:13, 11 February 2015 (UTC)[reply]
Of course, the reason it was officially declared at all was in mysterious evidence from her captors. At least according to the story we link. If that was proof enough that she's dead, it stands to reason the same people who proved it didn't just arbitrarily lie about the date. Who killed her is worth lying about, but the date means nothing, strategically. I'll move it to February 6, based on that. InedibleHulk (talk) 01:23, 11 February 2015 (UTC)[reply]

She should be listed on the 10th with a (death confirmed on this date) added. Actual date of death and manner is not confirmed yet.-Kiwipat (talk) 03:35, 11 February 2015 (UTC)[reply]

It's been confirmed by people far closer to her than whoever we're supposed to be waiting to hear it from. I haven't read any mainstream sources offering a different date. Just a different killer. Have you? InedibleHulk (talk) 04:19, 11 February 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Looks like we shouldn't hold our breath for an official cause. InedibleHulk (talk) 04:27, 11 February 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Gary Owens and Midnight Cowboy

[edit]

Gary Owens' listing includes Midnight Cowboy. That movie credits Gary Owens' role as Little Joe. It's unlikely the same Owens as the Space Ghost actor (then in his 30s) also played the kid version of Jon Voight's character. And even if the same Owens really is in the movie somewhere (I've never spotted him) he's not really known for that movie. I suggest taking that out and using Dynomutt instead as his role as the Blue Falcon is something he's far more known for.108.180.241.60 (talk) 01:22, 14 February 2015 (UTC)Andy Nystrom[reply]

Removed the Midnight Cowboy as the age really does not fit. It's not mentioned in the source, nor his article, nor the film page, only at IMDb. Hopefully, most editors know not to trust that source. — Wyliepedia 03:36, 14 February 2015 (UTC)[reply]

By the way since did you know Gary Owens voiced in the Sierra PC games Space Quest IV and Space Quest 6. I want to add Space Quest IV or Space Quest 6. But the 3 limit credit policy on Wikipedia prevents me and other Wikipedia users from adding a few more credits. We need to fix the Deaths memorial Wikipedia page to allow up to 4 to 5 credits because their credit names are too vague and don't provide much detail. CrosswalkX (talk) 13:51, 20 October 2022 (UTC)[reply]

You have already been told that will not happen. WWGB (talk) 02:36, 21 October 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Tom McQueen died on the 10th

This is everything I found. Figurative gold from the mine itself. Asking for more is just ridiculous. All of this is proof McQueen passed away on the 10th. RAP (talk) 02:46 17 February 2015 (UTC)

Per WP:USERGENERATED, "self-published media — whether books, newsletters, personal websites, open wikis, blogs, personal pages on social networking sites, Internet forum postings, or tweets — are largely not acceptable. This includes any website whose content is largely user-generated". Fool's gold, it seems! Find a reliable independent source ... WWGB (talk) 08:27, 17 February 2015 (UTC)[reply]

plus Added imdb is not considered a reliable source (see WP:CITINGIMDB), so I used the other source. Joseph2302 (talk) 11:12, 24 February 2015 (UTC)[reply]

It's funny you say the IMDB datebase is unreliable, that's what the IMDB say about the sources that come from the Wikipedia. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 2602:306:C495:40D9:1D3A:D334:EFAD:205 (talk) 10:27, 25 February 2015 (UTC)[reply]
Neither should be used on the other as "sources", if you ask me. Both are "databases" and can be filled ad nauseam before a source is needed/gets added. — Wyliepedia 01:22, 26 February 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Chris Rainbow date of death?

[edit]

His entry here gives his death date as Feb 25, while his Wikipedia page lists it as Feb 22. Both use the same source for his death, which doesn't specify which day he died. Can anyone find out and fix this discrepancy? BurienBomber (talk) 15:24, 9 March 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Frank Prendergast

[edit]

Which is the correct day of death in this case? 19 February Frank Prendergast: Difference between revisions or 20 February (Frank Prendergast in February 2015)? Apród (talk) 14:30, 17 March 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Fixed. Entered hospital on 19 Feb. Died "over the course of the night", per his obit. — Wyliepedia 05:56, 18 March 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Thank you for your answer and thank you for the list of repairs carried out. Have a nice day! Apród (talk) 10:48, 20 March 2015 (UTC)[reply]
