Dick Clark

[edit]

Dick Clark is known for many different areas: television, radio, director, producer. What should be listed on this page? Also, do we really need to have television programs that he was a part of listed. He is pretty well known. swinquest (talk) 20:56, 18 April 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Wasn't he mostly known for his annual New Year's Eve specials? That was always my association with him. I think the listing should incorporate that. RIP. Thanks. Joseph A. Spadaro (talk) 23:55, 18 April 2012 (UTC)[reply]
He wore many hats. I think the description (host, producer) fits best. Most award shows are produced by his company. — WylieCoyote (talk) 03:01, 19 April 2012 (UTC)[reply]

I changed his profession to Host and producer and kept two of the programs, probably the most noted programs, that he was a part of. swinquest (talk) 13:40, 19 April 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Jonathan Frid

[edit]

Jonathan Frid keeps moving all about on the page. He has been cited dead on the 13th, 14th, 18th and 19th. I have placed him on the 14th and linked an MSNBC article to his death that cites his death in Hamilton on the 14th. If anyone else has a cited article that states otherwise, we may have to do further investigation. Sunnydoo (talk) 09:42, 20 April 2012 (UTC)[reply]

And the plot thickens- AP is reporting his death on the 13th. NY Times to break the tie? Sunnydoo (talk) 10:55, 20 April 2012 (UTC)[reply]

NY Times also has the 13th as DoD. Moved Frid back to the 13th and linked NY Times Obit. Sunnydoo (talk) 10:58, 20 April 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Well, he DID play a vampire! Haha! — WylieCoyote (talk) 21:46, 20 April 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Currently two entries for this guy - 13th and 14th. Bretonbanquet (talk) 14:37, 21 April 2012 (UTC)[reply]

His Wikipedia article (currently) states April 14. I guess that his date of death has caused quite an uproar on his page. See Talk:Jonathan Frid#Date of death. Thanks. Joseph A. Spadaro (talk) 22:42, 21 April 2012 (UTC)[reply]
Therefore, shouldn't his entry on this page at least match his Wikipedia article's death date? For whatever reasons, consensus there (at his article) – so far, at least – seems to be for April 14. Thoughts? Thanks. Joseph A. Spadaro (talk) 17:01, 22 April 2012 (UTC)[reply]
