Removed any mention of Canada from the article as Canada has had the death penalty abolished since 1976. Zugor 17:32, 17 September 2006 (UTC)[reply]

The phenomenon

[edit]

And how are people talking about "cruel punishment" taking victims into account? Did the murderers EVER take into account the amount of pain they inflicted on their victims? Did they ever take into account the amount of pain they caused on the people who loved the victims? And did they ever take into account that if they were sentenced to death, they would inflict even more pain? Namely on their OWN families. Someone who commits murders inflicts this pain, all by HIMSELF/HERSELF. By his or her own actions. Do NOT blame the victims or the families of the victims. A murderer has, by his/her actions, decided to inflict pain NOT ONLY on his victim's family, but also on his/her own family when finally executed. DO NOT EVEN TRY to make the murderer's family a victim, if not by ONLY they choice the murderer made. The murderer made BOTH families the victims, by his/her OWN choice. The murderer lives on for a lot longer than the victims... . Why are we concerned about a murderer MAYBE feeling pain when the victim felt much more pain? The murderer caused pain to the victim, to the victim's family, AND to his/her own family. The ONLY person to blame and to punish is the murderer. 173.168.177.217 (talk) 16:09, 22 March 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Biased see also section

[edit]

Anyone else notice how all of the "See Also" articles are about people who shouldn't have been on death row in the first place? There should be an equivalent number of links to lists of convicted killers on death row, executed criminals, and the like if this article is to return to NPOV.208.42.251.123 (talk) 17:50, 22 September 2014 (UTC)[reply]

hi my name is purvi patel. i want to give few suggestions to improve this article. in the section Phenomenon, we should add more about the condition of rooms in which prisoners on death row stay for all day. thier rooms are called as cells. complete silence, no one to talk to. this side of angle will definitely improve the article. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Patelp48 (talkcontribs) 02:06, 24 March 2016 (UTC)[reply]
