SPA alert

[edit]

An SPA editor has been trying to soften the image of Jill Phipps, removing details that are mentioned in reliable source news articles, specifically information from this source which is used throughout the article. During January and July 2020, that editor removed content mentioning Phipps' affiliation with Eastern Animal Liberation League, removed a quote from the article about the actual accident details, altered (to lessen) the sentences imposed in a criminal case, twice removed details of the crime, and added inapplicable information about the pilot that isn't related to Phipps at all. The type of edits, along with the comments in the edit summaries, and the lack of other edits within Wikipedia tells me that this editor is very close to the subject and probably should not be editing this article at all.
