MIchael

[edit]

Why there is MIchael in the infobox? 91.123.221.159 (talk) 19:24, 25 December 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Category:Deaths due to snake bites‎

[edit]

I've added the article to Category:Deaths due to snake bites‎. Although the snake probably killed him through strangulation rather than a bite, I did not find any category for people killed by snakes other than bites. Category:Deaths due to animal attacks says that articles should be placed in subcategories, and most subcategories are deaths due to "attack" by a specific species (or other taxonomic category), but there is no category for deaths by snake attacks, only snake bites. It seems like the intention of Category:Deaths due to snake bites‎ would be to include anyone killed by a snake attack, rather than only snake bites, so I think this article fits in that category, even though it does not fit the literal words. Should this article be in Category:Deaths due to snake bites‎ (which I have added the article to) or Category:Deaths due to animal attacks, or another category? Should a new category be created for deaths by snake attacks (other than snake bites)? Nine hundred ninety-nine (talk) 04:39, 6 January 2021 (UTC)[reply]

I just saw this talk page message after changing the category from snake bites to animal attacks, it's a bit of a weird situation, but I feel that animal attack is a better fit due to the lack of bites. Greyjoy talk 11:30, 20 January 2021 (UTC)[reply]
I found another article 2013 New Brunswick python attack of people strangled by a snake rather than a snake bite, so I created a new category Category:Deaths due to snake attacks and made Category:Deaths due to snake bites a subcategory. Name

[edit]

The Toronto Sun article indicates that Akbar followed the common Indonesian naming convention of having only one given name, and that Salubiru was the name of his village in Sulawesi. Many of the listed sources do call him Akbar Salubiru, but it seems suspect to me- perhaps a more experienced editor would like to weigh in and make changes if they seem appropriate?
