Photo

[edit]

Is it just me, or does the photo make it look like they are conjoined twins? Awkward. DFS (talk) 19:06, 11 January 2010 (UTC)[reply]

More real life than ritz

[edit]

Like selling a Commie "Mao cap" for $164.00? Yeah, okay, this article isn't just an ad. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 70.109.162.193 (talk) 05:38, 3 July 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Just got rid of it and the other stupid ad-speak from their PR firm in the first paragraph to make it read more like an encyclopedia article, not some glossy ad cooked up by some rich Madison Ave hipster-junior ad exec after a 24-hour cocaine bender. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 70.109.162.193 (talk) 05:44, 3 July 2012 (UTC)[reply]

LGBT

[edit]

I'm adding LGBT categories. Source is this interview. Not sure where, if anywhere, their personal life fits into this article. Feel free to add directly. I just wanted to give source here before someone starts yelling at me for violating BLP or something. Cheers, 15zulu (talk) 12:05, 23 October 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Dsquared2 or DSquared2

[edit]

Several variants of their brand Dsquared2 (or DSquared2) all strike me as violations of our guideline on trademarks (see MOS:TM). The official website uses Dsquared2 (see this page, for example) or DSquared2 (see this page, for example). Either is acceptable (trademarks in CamelCase are a judgment call. CamelCase may be used where it reflects general usage). I'm agnostic as to which is preferred, as even the official website has inconsistent usage of their brand name. As user P64 has favored the CamelCase version, I'll stay with that, but if someone wants to change it to "Dsquared2" I won't object.

"Misspellings" include:

  • DSQUARED2 – Follow standard English text capitalization practices (capitalize the first letter of a proper noun only, unless the name is in CamelCase)
  • DSquared² – The Unicode superscript ² is unnecessary stylization, and presents accessibility concerns as it is harder to read
  • DSquared2 – This form is more accessible for sight-impaired readers, but is still unnecessary stylization. It's also an invalid title: [[DSquared2]] won't wikilink because the brackets (< and >) are invalid characters for titles

It's OK to use any of these once or twice in the article, but only in the context of indicating how the brand name is stylized. I'm going to make adjustments to conform to our guideline. – wbm1058 (talk) 15:15, 5 September 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Note, I just found an older related discussion (from 2009) Here. FWIW. wbm1058 (talk) 15:47, 5 September 2016 (UTC)[reply]
