The day is also celebrated in Romania

More than normal. The state of Romania has existed since the liberation of Bulgaria. In Wallachia and Moldavia, until 1840, no one used Latin alphabet. The issue of the controversial Usus in the 18th century, and especially in the 19th century, is quite separate.
