June 2024 updates to page[edit]

Hi! I have some suggested updates for this page. I’m a public relations professional at NKPR, which represents Dax Dasilva, so I won’t implement any changes myself. I’d appreciate the help of others in bringing the page up to date.

1. In the Career section, please add a paragraph to become the new third paragraph:

Dasilva won an Emmy Award^[1] as an executive producer on the 2022 documentary Wildcat.^[2]

Reason:

Dasilva’s involvement in an award-winning documentary is a noteworthy development in his career that was covered in one of Canada’s most prominent news sources.

2. In the Career section, please add a paragraph directly after the new third paragraph proposed in item 1:

In February 2024, Dasilva returned to the position of CEO at Lightspeed^[1] after stepping down from the role in 2022.^[3]

Reason:

Resuming the role of CEO at the company he founded reflects a significant development in his career history as reported by a prominent news source.

3. Please add a paragraph after the second paragraph in the Community involvement section:

In 2023, Dasilva partnered with Jane Goodall and indigenous Amazonian leaders to start a chapter of Goodall’s youth conservationist program Roots & Shoots in Brazil.^[4]

Reason:

Dasilva’s partnership with Goodall, a prominent figure, is a noteworthy development in his continued environmental advocacy. Adding it will help bring the Community involvement section up to date - it’s currently missing information past 2021.

4. Please add a sentence to become the new third sentence of the Lead:

Dasilva was reappointed CEO in 2024.

Reason:
