What do they actually DO?

[edit]

Do they actually build anything, or just offer advice? 24.6.66.193 (talk) 12:15, 13 May 2008 (UTC)[reply]

[edit]

Can we remove the 'This article is written like an advertisement' tag? The article has substantially changed since it was added (Dec. 2007), and I don't believe it's still true. While the article probably needs better sourcing, I don't believe it still reads like an advertisement. Hutchie6 (talk) 09:55, 3 August 2008 (UTC)[reply]

In view of the lack of opposition, I've now removed the advertisement tag. Hutchie6 (talk) 09:35, 10 August 2008 (UTC)[reply]

I started removing the most promotional or unnecessary parts, such as the list of offices and trivial awards. Once those were deleted, all that was left was an article without a single source, so I stubbed it down to a sentence. Based on their size alone, they seem notable, so hopefully someone will eventually rebuild the article neutrally and with proper sources. CorporateM (Talk) 12:54, 22 October 2013 (UTC)[reply]

I am the digital representative for Davis Langdon. Having reviewed the text that was on this page previously, I accept there were redundant/promotional elements. I have rebuilt the content now. Davis Langdon was the biggest Construction Consultancy in the world and was acquired by a Fortune 500 company in 2010, so has a considerable profile in the construction industry. It is important to describe the relationship between Davis Langdon and AECOM, so I have captured the facts of this relationship. Goffd73

[edit]

No need to edit what you have on the web, but I must say it is difficult to get connected electronically to a host at Davis Langdon. My name is Simon Davis, once a QS and potential partner of DBE (Davis Belfield and Everest) which under my father, Owen Davis, became a major consulting firm in the UK. My brother Nick Davis joined the firm after graduating from Cambridge, and it is my belief that he was responsible in large part for the affiliation between D.B&E and Langdon and Every. He travelled extensively after graduation in Africa and Australia (where he found his first wife) and he took over a leadership role in the firm with my father's partners and subsequently with others. He is now 74 and is severely demented living in a Care Facility in Norfolk. It is most probable that he will die soon. It would be appropriate to prepare an obituary in advance of that event. I would be happy to review what you might propose and add to it as necessary. Best wishes, Simon Davis."≈≈≈≈" — Preceding unsigned comment added by 68.54.195.30 (talkcontribs) 23:44, 3 April 2014‎

Not done: it's not clear what changes you want made. Please mention the specific changes in a "change X to Y" format. Sam Sailor Sing 17:33, 12 April 2014 (UTC)[reply]

There seems to be some overlap between this article and [1] (limited viewing) - can someone check which is the source. Jackiespeel (talk) 19:33, 15 January 2020 (UTC)[reply]
