Alleged assassination involvement
[edit]The "French Gunman/ Grassy Knoll" was MICHEL VICTOR MERTZ (1920-1995), a French Intelligence Agent...who had entered the U.S. from Canada, and the day after the assassination was expelled from the U.S., under the assumed identity of his archenemy "Jean Souetre," of the OAS, who at the time of the JFK assassination was under suspicion of plotting to assassinate French President Charles de Gaulle, the person who had infiltrated the OAS and exposed the plot, was none other than Michel Victor Mertz. Mertz was an accomplished assassin, and had heavy ties to Organized Crime. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 2603:3005:2B02:FA00:402F:DEB1:B619:DC43 (talk) 17:42, 27 February 2017 (UTC)
"He was allegedly involved in the assassination of John F. Kennedy and Robert Kennedy." is stated in the lead. Seems a rather strong way of putting it (to my mind it makes it sound like it is authoritatively alleged rather than by conspiracy theorists, as seems to be the case), and undue weight to its significance in his life... - Dude, he is in a picture taken in Dealey Plaza as President Kennedy's motorcade is passing by on Houston Street and about to turn onto Elm Street. He's standing up, in a suit, on a street lamp pole, to watch the murder. http://jfkresearch.com/eaglesham/page5.jpg He's also shown in video being in the lobby of the Ambassador Hotel in Los Angeles on June 5, 1968, along with two other CIA assassins, George Joannides and Gordon Campbell. http://baltimorechronicle.com/2006/112206CARMICHAEL.html So shove your "conspiracy theory", it's conspiracy fact.— Preceding unsigned comment added by 71.23.21.81 (talk • contribs) 18:47, 24 November 2010 (UTC)
- To the unsigned post above, your links as well as statements like "conspiracy fact" are not too useful for wikipedia. [1] On the other hand, Schizombie, is also incorrect in alleging this is too strongly worded. 2 of his close friends report him saying "We got the bastard" and "The Son of a Bitch" in Dallas and California, referring to the Kennedy brothers. One of those friends was with him when he died of a heart attack and even implies that he was poisoned and that ambulance staff were delayed to ensure he died, by the CIA ... as he was due to testify before Congress on I believe the House Select Committee on assassinations. While this is still heresay, it's not fringe evidence for his involvement. It comes from 2 reliable sources. I will be including this in the article.--Senor Freebie (talk) 06:05, 6 June 2012 (UTC)
